Next Steps
Our statutory consultation for the Humber Carbon Capture Pipeline ran from 29 October 2025 to 17 December 2025. We are now reviewing and considering all feedback received at the consultation, in addition to findings from further surveys, to help us refine our proposals.
We are now conducting a targeted consultation from 23 June 2026 to 23:59 on 26 July 2026 on specific changes to our proposals for the Project.
You can find out more about the targeted consultation and these amendments here.
Following the consultations, we intend to submit our Development Consent Order (DCO) application to the Planning Inspectorate in early 2027.
The Planning Inspectorate will then have 28 days to consider whether the application should be accepted for examination.
You will have the opportunity to provide comments on the application once it has been accepted for examination and before the examination starts. This is called the ‘Relevant Representations’ period, where you will have the opportunity to register as an Interested Party and provide feedback.
This process is led by the Planning Inspectorate, and further details can be found on the Planning Inspectorate’s website.
